PRIVACY POLICY
How we handle your data.
Last updated 26 September 2026. What HireQuanta keeps, why, who else handles it, and how you can download or delete it.
What we keep
- Your account: your name and the ways you sign in (Google, email and password, phone, or an email code). A sign-in lasts up to a day.
- What you save: your resumes and their earlier versions, the files you upload, the jobs you add, reports and scores, tailored versions and application kits, and your interview practice answers.
- Interview recordings: only if you turn on voice or video practice. They are private to you and are deleted when you submit or discard an answer, or within 24 hours.
- Support requests: what you asked us, and your e-mail address so we can reply. A help request names the item it is about, not its contents.
- Security records: important account events, such as sign-ins and deletions, to keep the service safe.
How we use it
Only to run the features you use. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- OpenAI reads your resume when you upload it (its text and page images), the jobs you add, and the text of your resume and job when you ask for AI suggestions, scores or an AI interview. With voice practice, your answer audio and the question text are sent for transcription and speech. OpenAI’s API data policies apply.
- Google (Firebase Authentication) checks Google, email-and-password and phone sign-ins. Your phone number goes to Google for verification.
- Resend sends sign-in codes by email, when that way of signing in is on.
- Resend also carries help and contact requests to our support inbox.
- Oracle Cloud hosts our servers and database.
Who can see your resumes
Only you, in your personal workspace. In an employer’s workspace, its owners and recruiters can open what is saved there; the page tells you when you are in one. When you send interview answers to an employer, their team can read them until you withdraw.
How long we keep it
- Until you delete it, or delete your account. Deleting a resume also removes the file it came from.
- A practice interview you remove leaves your journal at once and its recordings are deleted. You can restore it for 30 days; after that its answers, transcript and review are erased.
- Backups made before you deleted something can hold older copies until they are replaced. They stay on the same private servers and are used only to restore the service after a failure.
Download or delete your data
Open your account and choose Your data. Download my data gives you a .zip of everything in your personal workspace. Delete my account signs you out everywhere, removes your sign-in methods and closes your workspace straight away; its contents are then erased. The record an employer keeps that you were sent an interview, closed to everyone.
Cookies and browser storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in and one to protect your requests. Your browser also keeps your colour theme and unsaved edits so they can be recovered. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Google’s sign-in sets its own cookies when you use it.
